25 Years - through Stories

In recognition of the agency’s 25th anniversary in 2008 and of the continuing urgency of the city’s AIDS epidemic, the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) presents 25 Years - through Stories, a special multimedia history project that tells the story of ACT and HIV/AIDS in Toronto over the past two-and-a-half decades. In this space we will reveal a new story that captures the highs and lows of the AIDS movement. The history of ACT is not merely the history of an organization. It is the history of the hundreds of staff, board members, volunteers, clients, and supporters who have been involved with the agency in some way over the past 25 years. It is the millions of hours of life lived in pursuit of a common goal: the eradication of HIV/AIDS in Toronto.
