Membership at ACT
Are you a member of the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT)? ACT members work together to support our mission, vision and values and contribute to innovative and groundbreaking work in HIV prevention, health promotion, advocacy and support.
Your membership makes a difference…
We are stronger together. Our community can challenge attitudes and beliefs about HIV/AIDS. We can educate and support one another. We can call for action. We can draw on our individual and collective strengths to not just survive, but thrive.
We are bold, strong, and resilient. Communities in Toronto most affected by HIV/AIDS have a history of surviving adversity. By nurturing individual capacity, creating a sense of belonging and fostering the development of community, we can advocate for good health as a human right.
We are still here. While anti-HIV medications have improved the life expectancy of most people living with HIV/AIDS, there remain challenges for effective responses to health issues that are complicated by – not caused by – HIV, including access to treatment, stigma and discrimination.
By donating as a member you help to ensure we continue to make a difference in the lives of people living with, affected by, and at risk for HIV/AIDS in Toronto.
As a member you can:
