PYO: Programs and Services
Weekly Social SupportEvery Thursday, the PYO Lounge (4th floor, 399 Church Street) will be open from 2 - 5pm to young people living with HIV to gather for social support activities.
Weekly Discussion GroupEvery Thursday, the PYO Lounge will be open from 6 - 8pm to young people living with HIV for a structured peer discussion support group.
Community Learning SeriesEvery 2nd Tuesday of the month, PYO will offer a learning workshop series called “PYO Presents” from 6 - 8pm for young people living with, affected by, or concerned about HIV. Topics covered in the workshop series will include: living with HIV, HIV treatment, nutrition, HIV disclosure, harm reduction, health and sexuality, relationships, and employment – all from a resilience perspective.
Peer SupportWe offer peer support by appointment and on a drop-in basis.
Connecting you to ServicesWe help connect young people living with HIV to other services both at ACT, and at other agencies.
Leadership DevelopmentWe provide opportunities that build leadership skills among young people living with HIV.
Community OutreachWe provide information on HIV, and sexual health to young people and we go out to the places where they hang out.
