Summary:
Develops and delivers a wide range of group-based programming and other initiatives for people living with, and affected by HIV/AIDS. Specific duties and responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to the following and may be subject to change:


Group Program Coordination
    Researches, develops, implements, and evaluates peer based and other models of support groups, including social support programming for people living with HIV/AIDS.
    Promotes group programming to a variety of locations and partner agencies. such as other AIDS service organizations, doctor offices, clinics and other relevant locations.
    Evaluates group based programs to ensure that needs are met, and modifies programming as needed.
    Responds to client requests for group programming.
    Builds and maintains solid working and supportive relationships with service users, volunteers and staff pertaining to program needs.
    Cultivates, identifies, and initiates partnerships with other AIDS service organizations to deliver group programming, as appropriate.
    Assists in the delivery of program related workshops, retreats for people living with HIV/AIDS and other presentations as required.

Volunteer Management
    Coordinates, supports, motivates and supervises program volunteers.
    Schedules and assigns work duties for volunteers.
    Designs, implements, and evaluates volunteer training programs.
    Cultivates, identifies and develops volunteer placement opportunities and develops a recruitment plan with ACT’s Volunteer Services.

Administration & General Duties
Maintains information on volunteers, clients and services that are provided. Gathers statistical information on volunteers, clients and services. Prepares statistical and program reports.
Develops, recommends and implements workplans and budgets.
In addition to compliance with all organizational policies and procedures, the incumbent is also expected to behave ethically, demonstrate competence in effective communication and team building, demonstrate effectiveness in working in a collaborative environment, and demonstrate confidence in decision-making and in building relationships.
Participates on teams and external committees to communicate information, resolve problems and achieve the goals of the organization.
