DRESS CODE
Employees, students and volunteers are expected to dress in a manner that appropriately reflects their job and professional responsibilities. These expectations vary from position to position. Dress is conditioned by the community-based values inherent to the AIDS Committee of Toronto, including valuing of diversity.
Many people living with HIV/AIDS and also those who suffer from enviromental allergies, are extremely sensitive to strong scents. In order to make ACT as comfortable as possible for all people who are affected by this, staff and volunteers agree to moderate their use of colognes and perfume while working in the office or performing duties on behalf of ACT in the community.
Individual cleanliness is a priority in all positions.
If there is a question about the appropriateness of the attire of an employee, student or volunteer, the manager makes the decision about whether attire is acceptable.
