LEGAL ADVICE
ACCESS TO LEGAL ADVICE
If an employee or volunteer feels that an AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) service user related matter may require legal advice, that individual is to consult with the manager. Only if prior approval is given by the Executive Director will ACT pay the costs involved with seeking legal advice.
RIGHT TO SEEK LEGAL ADVICE
All employees and volunteers at ACT have the right to seek independent legal counsel at their own expense. In doing so, employees and volunteers must respect client confidentiality (see Confidentiality, HR # 1-50).
