AIDSUPPORT

AIDSupport provides a continuum of client-centred practical and emotional support for people infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. We promote the individual's right to make informed health choices and are committed to delivering services in a respectful, responsive and confidential manner.

In our work, we are informed by the experiences of people living with HIV and AIDS and of the gay and lesbian communities and the diverse communities from which they come. We acknowledge that environment and social context affect access to services. We therefore build alliances with other groups to advocate for equitable, comprehensive services and rights for people living with HIV and AIDS in the community and within the AIDS Committee of Toronto.

EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY

As peers, we promote the health of individuals and communities affected by HIV/AIDS through a responsive educational process that encourages and supports personal choice, builds alliances, and fosters social change.
