PROCEDURE
BUDDY PROGRAM: ACCESS
When a client expresses an interest in accessing the Buddy Program, the Buddy Program Coordinator will:
xxx1.xxxMeet with and interview the client (on-site or in the client's home).
xxx2.xxxAssess the current needs of the client.
xxx3.xxxIn order to arrange the best possible match with a volunteer, obtain and record information about the client's:
xxxxxxxxxa) support systems,
xxxxxxxxxb) current health status,
xxxxxxxxxc) emotional and practical needs, and
xxxxxxxxxd) general interests.
xxx4.xxxReview available volunteers and assign a volunteer to the client. If there is not a suitable match immediately available, place the client on the wait list.
