Employer Database Volunteer Research/ Admin Assistant

Purpose | To assist in creation of a new Employer Database by: 1. contacting/researching existing employers to update profile/contact information 2. entering updated profiles in new Penelope Employer Database | ||
Benefits | To gain: 1. basic database entry skills 2. an understanding of Job Development from the perspective of maintenance and development of existing employer relationships | ||
Time Commitment | 52 hours for months Details: approx. two 4 hours shifts per week (mostly daytime) until database completed - mid/end June | ||
Duties | The Volunteer will: The Volunteer will research and contact a list of approximately 180 existing employers to: 1. confirm phone/address 2. confirm contact name(s) 3. confirm industry/job types 4. confirm hiring procedure 5. volunteer will enter this information into Penelope Employer Database 6. Other duties as assigned. | ||
Personal Qualities and Skills | Required Qualities & Skills: 1. solid command of english 2. excellent telephone manner - professional communication skills 3. ability to research companies through their websites 4. ability to be trained on Penelope/database entry | ||
Training Requirements | Volunteer Core Skills Training, Event-Role-Specific Training, On-the-job Training with Supervisor and/or other Volunteers | ||
