Purpose | To assist all persons living with HIV/AIDS, free of charge, cmplete thier Income Tax returns . To offer all PHA's access to professional Income Tax advise in a safe and confidential environment. | ||
Time Commitment | 3 hours per week for 12 months Details: Clinicans will all sign ACT Program specific confidentiality agreements in addition to CCRA Contractual aggreement More hours required during Income Tax Sseason between Feb. 1st and the end of May. | ||
Duties | The Volunteer will: Assist client with completion of all Income Tax returns | ||
Personal Qualities and Skills | Required Qualities & Skills: To report directly to the Community Support Programs Coordinator with any problems related to clinic matters or client concerns. Volunteers must have current working knowledge of all Income Tax related matters regarding Revenue Canada. Have undertaken mandatory CCRA Program Specific training Be prepared to work one to one with clients on a completely confidential basis while remaining non judgmental. Have knowledge of same sex partner and all aspects of dissability claims. Knowledge of the Quick Tax system/ Ufile. Be expected to offer one three hour block, either evening or during the day, on an ongoing weekly basis, for the duration of tax clinic time frame. Be self motivated, good communication skills, second language would be useful but not essential, | ||
