The AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) delivers responsive, effective, and valued community-based HIV support services and education, prevention, outreach and fundraising programs that promote the health, well-being, worth and rights of individuals and communities living with, affected by and at risk for HIV/AIDS, and increase awareness of HIV/AIDS.

Mission Statement


To reduce the transmission of HIV and promote the health of men who have sex with men and the communities to which they belong through community based initiatives such as peer education, venue specific outreach, networking, and interagency collaboration.





Purpose


To prepare materials for distribution to the community through outreach. To provide opportunites for a diverse group of people to engage with the agency and each other with no formal training or commitment required. To extend agency resources by maximizing the number of condom/lube packs ACT produces inhouse. To allow the agency to produce a greater variety of specialty condom/lube packs.

Time Commitment


Condom Stuffing parties are held each month throughout the year. They last from 6 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Party dates and program news available at actoronto.org/condomstuffing.


Duties


The Volunteer will:
Stuff condoms, lubes, and health promotion inserts into little plastic baggies.


Personal Qualities
and Skills


Required Qualities & Skills:
Able to stuff hundreds of plastic bags with condoms and lube without losing sanity, freaking out, or attacking the person sitting next to you!

Appreciates the importance of providing free condoms, lube, and information to men who have sex with men.

Tolerent and respectful of others.
