Using 'k'? (ketamine, special k, vitamin k)
Ketamine is an anesthetic. It can make you feel outside of yourself, can effect your visual and auditory senses, and make movement difficult. An important consideration with 'k' is that it can put you in a state where you are unable to talk, move, or act in your own defense (k-hole). This can put you at risk for sexual assault. You can reduce your risk while using 'k':
Be with friends who will take care of you if you experience harmful side effects, or lose your sense of where you are or how to protect yourself from harm. If you are using 'k' it is good to designate a sober friend to keep an eye on you.
Avoid mixing 'k' with alcohol, barbituates, Valium, and other depressants. Mixing Ketamine with other drugs is not recommended and will not likely enhance your experience. If you inject 'k' into your muscle or vein, find out how to inject safely. Don't share needles. Use a new needle every time.
Try to buy from a reliable supplier whose goods you like or your friends have tried. If you don't have one, shop around.
Keep a condom with you. Use it. Find out more.
