BookAIDS
Free books. BookAIDS is held four times a year. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 230.

Buddy Program
Connect with a volunteer trained to provide ongoing friendly support. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 219.

Case Management
Case management is available for clients with complex or multiple unmet needs. Case Managers provide support needed to attain client's goals. Call 416-340-2437 and ask to be directed to a Case Manager. This service is also available in Portuguese.

Community Health Forums
Panel presentations and discussions with community and medical experts. Offered throughout the year. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 219.

Community Naturopathic Clinic
Supervised by a registered naturopathic doctor, fourth-year students help clients explore treatment options that deal with the serious side effects caused by many of the AIDS treatment drugs. Call 416-324-4187 (at Sherbourne Health Centre).

Counselling
Free, confidential counselling to men, women and youth living with, or affected with HIV/AIDS at our offices or off-site. Call to make an appointment. A counsellor on call is also available without an appointment, on a first come first serve basis, Monday – Friday. Please call ahead at 416-340-2437 for on-call hours for the day.

Drives Program
Drives to and from HIV/AIDS-related medical appointments within Toronto for those unable to negotiate public transit. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 230.

Employment ACTion
For people with HIV/AIDS considering (re)employment. Call 416-623-1782. Career counselling and job development available.

Furniture Bank
We provide free, used furniture and household goods. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 230.

Good Company Lunch
Provides an opportunity for people to meet over a three course meal once a week. This program is specifically for people who are unable to negotiate unassisted public transportation due to physical disabilities. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 219. Advance registration required.

Good Food Box Program
Purchase a week's supply of fresh fruits and vegetables at a greatly reduced cost. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 219. Advance registration required.

Health Promotion Groups and Classes
ACT provides various therapeutic and wellness groups, or classes, at no charge to those living with HIV/AIDS. Call 416-340-2437.

HIV Dementia Day Program
Provides individualized therapeutic programming for persons living with HIV and dementia. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 219.

Income Tax Clinic
Assistance completing personal income tax returns. For more information call 416-340-8484 ext. 219. To book an appointment call 416-340-2437.

Insurance Benefits Clinic
Volunteers from the insurance industry meet one-on-one for confidential consultations regarding insurance benefits. Call 416-340-2437.

Library

Meet and Eat Weekly Hot Lunch Program
Provides an opportunity for clients to meet for a hot lunch once a week throughout the year. Advance registration required. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 219.

Men’s Retreat
We offer men living with HIV/AIDS an opportunity to leave the city to meet their peers and learn strategies for improving their health. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 283.

Moves Program
For people living on social assistance (i.e. ODSP) with moves to affordable/suitable housing within Toronto. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 230.

Positive Youth Outreach (PYO)
Peer support for HIV-positive people age 29 and under. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 281, email pyo@actoronto.org or visit PYO's website.
Weekly support drop-in: Thursday, 4:00-8:00pm. Women’s social: 2nd Tuesday of every month, 4:00-8:00pm.

Service Access
Service Access Coordinators and Infodesk volunteers provide friendly support and assistance in directing individuals to staff, provide information and make referrals by phone, email and in person. Call 416-340-2437 or email ask@actoronto.org.

Social Support Network
Monthly social outings at minimal cost. To find out about upcoming events, or to register call 416-340-8484 ext. 230.

Support and Discussion Groups
Support Groups are offered three times a year — fall, winter and spring. To find out about upcoming groups, call 416-340-2437 or ciome to our office and ask to speak with the counsellor on call.

Women’s Coffee Night
Monthly informal gathering for HIV-positive women on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 6:00-8:00pm. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 283 for more information.

Women’s Community Kitchen
Monthly opportunity for women with HIV/AIDS of African and Caribbean descent to gather, share food and talk. Call 416-340-8484 ext. 283.

Women’s Retreat
Weekend retreat that enables women with HIV/AIDS to get out of the city, meet their peers, and learn strategies for improving their health. Call 416-340-2437.
