Youth Programs
ACT’s youth programs focus on HIV prevention and education for youth at risk for HIV, and support for youth living with HIV/AIDS. Through peer support and education programs, resource development, youth involvement, and partnership building, ACT and Positive Youth Outreach (PYO) are able to reach out to thousands of youth every year.
We're here to support young people living with HIV/AIDS - we offer many support services that can help you and have lots of information.
We're also here for young people concerned about HIV/AIDS: we have lots of information - - on topics such as 'what is HIV/AIDS', 'living with HIV and AIDS', 'safer sex and safer drug use', and basic information about sexually transmitted infections (STIs). At our offices, you are welcome to access our free condoms and lubricant. If you're concerned about your risk for HIV, you can also access services here.
The following sections outline the different programs and services available through ACT and PYO for youth and for staff in agencies that work with youth.
