Internships at ACT
ACT is often able to take students and other interns to help in a variety of ways including: counselling interns, volunteer services interns, and fundraising interns.
Internships
As a community-based organization, ACT works to support the capacity of students, people living with HIV, and community members interested in our work. To that end, we offer opportunities to build their skills and capacity, by offering internships in the following areas.
Counselling placements
Occasionally, we are able to accept students from universities of colleges who are studying in the fields of social work or social service work, to do their intern placement at ACT. At this time there are no placement opportunities available. If you would like to forward an application, please email our Manager of Support Services at jbarnett@actoronto.org.
Fundraising interns
From time to time, we are able to accept students studying in the fields of event planning, fundraising or related fields, to do a placement at ACT and assist with our fundraising activities. If you are interested, please call our Volunteer Resources Coordinator at 416-340-8484 ext. 238 and inquire if there are any placement opportunities available or upcoming.
