The healthcare and supports we all rely on are in jeopardy!

Healthcare across Ontario and throughout Canada is under threat. Consequences from harmful legislation, stagnant funding, and now new funding cuts are putting our healthcare and supports at risk.

Regardless of your HIV status, ACT is calling on ALL members of the community to stand up against reckless funding cuts and harmful legislation that puts us all in jeopardy.

Join ACT on Tuesday, September 20 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at Queens Park for the Rally for Health

Speakers and Representatives include:

  • John Maxwell, Executive Director, ACT
  • Sebastian Commock, Manager of Legal initiative (The 519)
  • Marc Lombardo, Positive Youth Outreach Coordinator, ACT accompanied by an HIV+ Youth Representative
  • Aaron Clarke, Gay Men’s Community Education & Resource Coordinator, ACT

ACT is calling on Government to:

  • Reverse the reckless PHAC funding cuts which will leave people living with and affected by HIV without the supports they rely on.
  • Raise national HIV funding in Canada to $100m/annually as recommended by the House of Commons Standing Committee on Health.
  • Without hesitation, promise no Healthcare Privatization.

Make your voice heard! Tell Minister of Health, Jean-Yves Duclos no to healthcare cuts and sign our petition today.
