ACT offers a range of social supports, educational and community kitchen programs for women living with HIV and AIDS in Toronto. Women’s Support Programs are available for all women who are living with HIV. This includes cis and trans women, racialized women, and women engaged in sex work.
Women’s Zone: Held twice a month during the afternoon, Women’s Zone offers the opportunity to learn about ways to better manage your health, the importance of nutrition, and an opportunity to interact with each other. Of the two sessions each month, one session focuses on learning, one is social in nature, and the other is a cooking session. Child minding subsidies are available through the Casey House Childcare Program
Coffee Night: Held twice a month in the evening, this informal social support event for HIV-positive women provides an opportunity to connect with other women living with HIV and learn from each other’s experiences. Child minding subsidies and public transit fare can be provided upon request. Please ask if either of these would make it easier to attend Women’s Coffee Night.

Gay Men’s Coffee Night (GMCN) is a network of social support programs by and for men who have sex with men (regardless of how they identify), who are over forty (allegedly), and who are living with HIV. Whether you’ve just received an HIV+ diagnosis and starting your journey with it or have been thriving for decades, GMCN offers a supportive community that feels like home with peer support and engaging group programming.
We got you covered.
Our gatherings are about more than just coffee; they’re about connection, community, and shared experiences, and connection doesn’t just happen over coffee – it happens over plates of delicious, lovingly prepared food. Whether it’s Brunch after Book Club, snacks at Movie Night, or a shared meal during our events, the flavours of home are always on the menu. After all, nothing says community like a little homo-cooked comfort from the kitchen.
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to privacy, confidentiality, and creating a space where all members feel respected and valued. GMCN welcomes all men, i.e., 40 and up, living with HIV. Our programs are as diverse as our community, with every offering rooted in the lived experiences and voices of our members.
