It is with a heavy heart that we announce the Employment Action program at ACT will be concluding on February 28, 2025.
Since its inception in 1999, Employment Action has been a trailblazer as Canada’s first employment program specifically designed for people living with HIV. Over the past 25 years, EA has offered a wide range of vital supports, including career planning, navigating benefits and employment assistance (such as ODSP), job skills development, and ongoing employment retention services. The program has continually adapted to meet the evolving needs of people living with HIV and the changing landscape of the job market.
The Employment Action team, past and present, have been honoured to work with all the amazing and talented People Living with HIV seeking meaningful employment in a wide range of industries. The team’s contributions and collective impact have made a lasting difference in the lives of so many individuals in our community.
ACT will continue to respond to the needs of our service users through the work of our Systems Navigation Coordinator and broadened case management support, including referrals to local employment service providers.
